Jonah is currently a Member-at-Large for URPOLIS, with this being his first year on the executive.
Alongside his major in Political Science, he also has a double major in Geography and Environmental Studies. Jonah greatly values the interconnectedness of both of his majors, allowing him to look into the cross-section of the environment and its impact in the political world, and how it shapes decisions and policies here in Canada.
Jonah has also worked in the department as a Research Assistant with Dr. Grafton, diving into research on reconciliation and Indigenous methodologies in politics. Alongside his studies, Jonah is heavily involved with Metis politics here in Saskatchewan, serving out his third year as a Youth Representative for Metis Nation-Saskactehwan. Jonah also currently serves as the Student Affairs Director for the Pre-Law Student Association (PLSA).
Outside of academics, Jonah can be found on the stage in Regina's community theatre scene. He also enjoys traveling and staying active, going on adventures elsewhere whenever time allows.
As an active member here on campus in the PAIS department, Jonah's advice for students is to “get involved, talk to your peers and professors, and foster connections while in your undergrad.”
His favourite URPOLIS events are the Meet Your Representatives event and the Policy Case Competition. Be sure to look out for some fun reels for our upcoming events made by Jonah!
