As the Secretary of UR POLIS, Brylee is passionate about her studies and aims to one day run for elected office at either the municipal or provincial level. She is a fifth-generation farmer from a mixed grain and cattle operation in Fiske, Saskatchewan. Her background in agriculture brings a rural perspective to the table, a critical aspect in Saskatchewan politics.
When she isn’t hitting the books, you can find Brylee curling, dancing, or participating in a variety of campus activities. She also likes to check out events such as concerts and museums around Regina. Her friendly energy makes her a great representative for the PAIS department, connecting with students across departments and often pitching the benefits of campus involvement!
She enjoyed PSCI 220: Comparing Political Systems, labeling it her favourite PAIS course so far. Known to be very studious, her advice to fellow PAIS students is to “do the readings, they will help in the long run”.
Her favourite UR POLIS event was the USA Debate Watch Party at The Lazy Owl. Keep an eye out on social media for an event later in the term that Brylee is organizing that involves one of her hobbies!
