R-kel is the Vice President of Marketing for UR POLIS this year. While this is his first year on the executive, he has had tremendous involvement in events. He has helped with logistics during events when the previous executive needed a helping hand, UR POLIS is looking forward to him fulfilling this new executive role with his experience and reliability.
R-kel is also an executive on the U of R Ski and Snowboard Club. In his free time away from academia, R-kel is a golfer, experienced snowboarder, and skilled procrastinator. That said, he manages to pull together event coordination and marketing with very short notice.
R-Kel chose PPE for its interdisciplinary focus, and he’s proud that the University of Regina is one of only six schools in Canada offering this degree. His favourite class has been PPE 400, where he has made great memories. Even though he has a very busy schedule both on and off campus, his advice to PAIS students is to “get involved with a club, it's the best way to meet people within your degree.”
His favorite UR POLIS event is “hands down” the Policy Case Competition. R-kel has been planning some great events this upcoming term, so he hopes to see you all there!
